We stayed at Element for a week and felt very much at home. The staff at the front desk and at breakfast (Veronica amongst them) were super friendly and highly accommodating and helpful. The rooms were very clean, spacious and with a comfortable mini kitchen. The breakfast was lovely and there was coffee/hot coco all day round. We loved the massage chair at the lobby. We highly recommend staying there!

The provided full kitchen would be nice for a longer stay and is fully stocked for cooking with utensils and cookware. They were under construction while we were here and the pool (small) was out of service so that was kind of a bummer. Gym is small but has nice equipment open 24hrs. Helpful staff. Nice shower/bathroom. Clean room. Comfy beds. Good hvac. Great location for access to the Convention Center. Easy walk just across the street. Reasonably priced compared to other hotels.

EJ is the absolute greatest in the world. Of all the people that have helped me at the front desk with the check-in and needs after I checked in for the past 30+ years, he has been so helpful to the point of he knew what I needed before I even asked. He has been absolutely great and element needs to make sure they go out of their way to make sure he is happy and just keeps being awesome.

My parents and I were staying at Element while in town for my uncle’s funeral, and my father had new dress pants on that didn’t quite fit. He asked EJ at the front desk if he knew where he could get a belt quickly, as we were on our way to the service, and EJ quite literally gave him the belt off of his pants. It is so rare these days to see people genuinely look out for one another, but my family will not forget the kindness EJ showed my dad. He is a gem and we are so grateful that he was working that day!

This is a nicer, newer and modern Marriott property albeit off the beaten bath and completely lacking in ambience and character, thus the name "Element". If you're a VERY fast walker, it's about a 25 minute walk to South Staton MBTA Station which will connect you the areas of Boston that you actually want to see and roam. The D Street/Element/Seaport area is largely an industrial/former warehouse center with an/asphalt and concrete parking lot vibe. This is a sterile, fringe and pedestrian-dead area with little to no foot traffic and ZERO shopping or restaurants etc. Absolutely nothing to see here. When visiting Boston location is everything. As to the property, it is clean, well maintained with a nice gym, pool and outdoor eating area. The rooms are large and well outfitted. They do a very nice continental breakfast (included) each morning in the lobby with selections to satisfy most palates. Unfortunately, if you're a traveler like myself who likes lounging in the lobby, be prepared for a very rambunctious front desk (at least during my four night stay), and 10,000 watt super bright fluorescent hospital-like lobby lighting around the clock. Not at all conducive to rest and relaxation. A more relaxed and seemingly refined lobby vibe can be had directly across the street at their "A Loft" sister property where I ended up spending most of my winding-down time. If you're on a budget and don't mind the isolation and the seemingly endless trek to civilization (I'm a distance runner BTW), this might be a suitable option. Otherwise, consider spending the extra cash and stay in Boston proper which this is NOT. Boston is a breathtaking walking city with a robust and far reaching public transit system connecting you to everything, except this area. My recommended areas for lodging are, Back Bay, Waterfront (different than Seaport), Beacon Hill, Brookline/Fenway and Cambridge. There are others but these in my opinion are the best. All with easy access to MBTA and beautiful for walking, shopping, eating, coffee shop hopping and people watching.

This is a friendly place to stay. Staff are warm and welcoming. Breakfast was terrific. Good selection, lots of good choices, friendly staff. The location is a bit challenging especially when visiting with kids and/or bad weather. There is not much nearby in this neighborhood. A car is a must. My family was excited about what looked like a beautiful pool and were very disappointed to say the least that the pool wasn’t beautiful OR open. However the Aloft next door had a pool that we were able to use. So it worked out. Again, the Aloft staff were helpful and very accommodating. The housekeeping staff were friendly, skilled and thorough. Finally, the piped in scent in the lobby was a bit overwhelming. Overall a fairly comfortable stay with a small family.

We had an excellent experience. Nelly was very informative and helpful at the front desk. Breakfast was very good , as well as housekeeping. In summary, front desk was professional and overall the hotel is a great choice for Boston visitors, especially those who are going across the street to the convention center.

Nicole Burnett, the front desk manager made a huge difference in our 3 day stay in July. She is absolutely outstanding and really cared to make us feel welcomed and comfortable during our stay. We had a few issues while staying at the hotel, one with a bathroom with a broken lock. We were 3 people sharing the room so embarrassingly I was walked into whole in the shower… Nicole saw to it and addressed it quickly while tweaking a couple of other small issues. What we loved was her attitude and approach to our concerns. The hotel itself is nice, clean, nice breakfast, always coffee available and an excellent location. All the staff was great really. We will definitely return to this hotel. Thank you, Miss Nicole Burnett for your warm and kind hospitality. I did say that I will write our review. Sorry it has taken 3 months to actualize, but better late than never. Even if you don’t remember us as your guests… we remember you! And we will never forget how you went out of your way to make us feel special. People like you bro g back customers. :). See you next time and many thanks. Miki from NJ.
